At Plug Plants by Post, we aim to keep delivery affordable, environmentally friendly, and as plant-safe as possible.

Delivery Costs

​

• £3 flat rate delivery on all orders under £50

• £5 flat rate DPD next day delivery under £50

• Free DPD next day delivery on orders over £50

• Please be aware DPD delivery is not available to the Highlands and Islands including Isle of Wight, any queries please message.​​

• No service is available to Northern Ireland and Channel Islands due to EU regulations, orders will be refunded.

When Orders Are Posted

​

Orders are normally posted on the Tuesday following your order.

 

This helps us work efficiently and also reduces unnecessary trips and emissions.

 

In most cases, after Tuesday posting your plants should arrive before the weekend.

If you have requested a specific delivery date, we will do our best to post accordingly.

Packaging & Plant Care During Transit

​

Our plugs are carefully packed into breathable, unsealed plastic bags. This helps them:

• stay hydrated during transit

• avoid excess moisture build-up

• reduce the risk of damage to the packaging

​

The plants are then packed into recycled cardboard packaging wherever possible, often reusing boxes collected from local supermarkets and businesses. It may not always look pretty, but is an eco-friendly re-use of locally available resources.

Small orders (up to approximately 18 maxi plugs or 72 mini plugs) are usually sent as Royal Mail large letters to keep delivery costs as low as possible. This means some plugs may be gently compressed to fit within postal size limits and to reduce excess moisture and weight.

​

Because of this, your plugs may not look their absolute best immediately on arrival. After spending time growing in small plug cells and then travelling through the post, they can sometimes appear a little flattened or tired. Don't worry - once unpacked, watered, and given light and space, they usually perk up very quickly.

We like to think of it as a little bit of “tough love” on the journey to their new home!
